Lonsestard2l was started by the Lone star college (LSC) management. LSC was founded in 1972 and is a public community college system serving the northern portion of Houston, Texas. In total there are eight colleges under the LSC. The colleges are as follows:

How can new students enroll themselves at Lonestar college for the first time?

First of all, you may signup to make an account and then log in to mylonestar and then go to the student tile. There will be an option of manage classes on the student home page, you may select that option. After that you may select a degree and the degree plan will be shown on the top of the ‘plan and register for courses’ page.

However, if you are having any inconvenience with the original degree plan uploaded by the management you can contact the campus academic advising office for any further updates.

After selecting a degree click the registration button and then begin selecting classes. Select enroll in classes and choose your preferred class.

Then you will see a course information page which will give you all the details about the course such as the topics you will learn in that particular course. With this, you will also see a class information page which will give you details about the class meeting information, textbook, and class notes.

1. Lonestard2l can be easily accessed through the Lonestar colleges’ homepage. When you will visit the homepage of Lonestar college a class login button will be visible at the top of the page.
2. When you press the class login button, a tile will be seen which says ‘Brightspaced2l’; select that tile.
3. If this will be your first online course at LSC online, first complete the mandatory orientation. After that, you may select your online course. There is an announcement section that will tell students all the important messages from their instructors. There is also a minibar, where you will find D2L emails, and a bell icon that will alert you when grades will be posted. There is also a navigation bar, which will allow you to navigate through D2L.
4. Click the content in the navigation bar to view all the learning material uploaded by your instructor. Here you will also find the syllabus of your class.
5. You can also view your grades by pressing the ‘grades’ button in the navigation bar.
6. In the course activity bar in the navigation bar, you will find all the activities, such as assignments, class participation, etc.,  uploaded by your instructor.
